Mindfulness in Education Symposium

Mindfulness-Based Education (MBE), a powerful tool to decrease stress, deepen learning, enhance academic performance, and promote emotional and social well-being, is increasingly recognized as essential for students, educators and parents. MBE may help develop the capacity for attention and awareness, emotional balance and compassion creating optimal conditions for teaching and learning. This day-long conference will include:  

A. Plenary panel discussing mindfulness in K-12 education (Dzung X. Vo), higher education (Renee Hill) and research (Kim Schonert-Reichl) with Q & A

B. Workshop sessions exploring mindfulness with youth, PK-12 educators, college educators, and parents, facilitated by (Lauren Alderfer, Bethann Bierer, Bidyut Bose, Viviane Ephrainson-Abt, Oliver Hill, Susan Kaplan, Kristine Pasquini, and Kristen Race)  

C. Home group dialogues (small communities of conference participants with shared interests)

D. Closing MIEN community building experience

Lunch will be provided.

Continuing Education Credits will be provided through the University of Colorado at Denver.

Electronic tickets are available through June 19.  After that tickets must be purchased at the door by check or cash.
